Ingredients

  • 1 frozen ripe banana, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup frozen berries
  • ½ cup low fat plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup pomegranate juice, plus more if necessary
  • 4 teaspoons honey

Instructions

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth. Depending on the type of blender you have, you may need to stop and stir occasionally to help it along. If the mixture is too thick, add 2 tablespoons more pomegranate juice and blend again. Pour into glasses and serve cold.

  • Hi, can I replace the pomegranate juice with fresh orange juice?

    • Hi Florentina, I think that may work but orange juice is sweeter than pomegranate juice so you may want to cut back the honey by 1 teaspoon. Hope that helps and that you enjoy!

  • Fantastic recipe! Adding some ice cubes and about a 1/4 cup more pomegranate juice really gives the flavor a boost, but other than that, they were some great guidelines!

  • So good! My husband and I usually double the recipe and split three ways with our teenage son. I have found that the honey is not necessary as the berries and banana are sweet enough, but that is just a personal preference. This is also a great basic starter recipe – the possible combinations of fruit and juices are infinite as long as you keep the proportions the same.
